1. Our quotations are detailed and comprehensive. If anything is missing, inform us immediately and we will revise the quotation accordingly. Any additional work required will be discussed and agreed with the Client, and a separate revised or extra contract quotation will be provided.
2. Pricing is based on unimpeded access and work during our normal business hours, unless explicitly agreed otherwise.
3. The Contractor and Client must agree on practical working arrangements that minimize disruption to the Client and allow efficient work execution by the Contractor.
4. Unobstructed access is mandatory for the delivery of all building materials, plant, machinery, and waste disposal.
5. All materials provided by the main contractor or their sub-contractors remain the sole property of Dilapidation Contractors until full and final payment is received via bank transfer, cleared cheque, or cash (see item 9).
6. Failure to adhere to these terms and conditions will result in immediate suspension of work and potential legal action. No exceptions will be made.
7. Accepting a quotation, either verbally or in writing, and agreeing to the commencement of works will activate these terms and conditions.
8. The main contractor, Dilapidation Contractors, will employ both direct and sub-contract labor to work on site. Each individual contractor is fully responsible for their own third party liability. Dilapidation Contractors will oversee all works to completion and assumes full general and operational responsibility for the contract agreed with the client.
9. Payment can be made via Bank Transfer, by cheque, or in cash. A receipt for payment will be provided. All cheque payments must be made payable to 'Dilapidation Contractors'. Bank transfer details are available upon request. Payment in full is due upon completion of the contract and presentation of the associated invoice. Partial payments, interim payments, and deposits may be agreed prior to commencement of works or during the contract duration. A down payment is not usually required, however, arrangements may be made for a down payment to cover the acquisition of bespoke or high value materials.
10. We strictly adhere to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679 and all client information will remain entirely confidential. Refer to our Privacy Policy for details.
11. In the event of unforeseen circumstances or changes, we reserve the right to revise the quoted price or estimated cost to accurately reflect the situation.
12. We provide a robust 12-month guarantee on all our workmanship. Material warranties are in line with the manufacturer's terms. Our guarantee covers all new work and materials used, but does not extend to the integrity of existing structures, materials or decorations. If a failure occurs beyond the guarantee period, we will promptly investigate the cause and negotiate a solution to carry out any agreed repairs as soon as possible. Charges may apply for remedial work outside the guarantee period or for items not covered by our guarantee. Decorations are signed off upon completion and are not included in the guarantee.
13. We hold the client fully responsible for the presence of any perished or rotten timber (or any other materials) in existing structures such as doors, windows, and frames, whether detected or undetected at the time of the contract.
14. We will only undertake additional work after a full discussion with the client and with their verbal or written agreement. Any additional work will be charged at the agreed rate.
15. Prices are based on the understanding that no retentions will be held, unless previously arranged and authorized in writing. No discounts for Main Contractors or Sub-Contractors will be given, unless agreed and confirmed in writing.
16. We will maintain a professional and helpful attitude at all times, and we are committed to completing the building works as efficiently as possible, taking into account weather conditions, availability of specialist materials, and any unforeseen circumstances.
